McDonald's 1980 McDonald land Jalopy cars- Birdie, Hamburglar, Ronald McDonald

McDonald's was at the start of making the McDonald land series a prevelant part of there happy meals with Ronald McDonald, Birde & the Hamburglar. The word Jalopy comes from a miss spelling of the town in Mexico called Jalapa. The town of Jalapa is famous for Jalapeno peppers. The word Jalopy means worn down machine or hard ware device. Jalapa was also famous for its car scrapping industry and was consitentaly miss spelled by English users as Jalopy.

The Jalopy cars either came in punch out plastic sheets similar to what you would get in a hobby model kit or pre-assembled depending on location. They came in Red, blue & Yellow. If Assembled correctly the car would roll.
